Kristine Luber
Kristine Luber is Director of Education and
Youth at First Lutheran Church in Topeka . She was one of the English
stylists for God’s Word, a contemporary language Bible translation, and
an editor for By Faith Alone, a book of new translations of portions of
Martin Luther’s writings. News articles she has written have been
published in regional Lutheran periodicals.
Kris works in the promotion of spiritual development for adults with
intellectual challenges. She is the author of three books designed to
help Christian congregations reach out to people with special needs.
Through the Year With Jesus, Festive Fall, and Winter Into Spring were
published in 1999. She was also one of the writers for Friendship
Ministries’ new series of Bible studies, and she’s a trained
facilitator for Beyond the Ramp workshops on disability
awareness.
Her current writing projects include faith stories of persons with
disabilities and a study of the history and process of Bible
translation.
Kris is available to speak to groups – without charge – about special
needs ministry, accessibility issues, and Bible translation.
